Formentera del Segura is a traditional Spanish town situated in the Vega Baja area of Southern Costa Blanca, Spain. Set amongst orange groves and surrounded by the mountains of Callosa del Segura and Orihuela and located less than 10 minutes drive from the coastal towns of Guardamar del Segura, La Marina and Torrevieja. Formentera has a traditional church square, a good selection of bars, cafes and shops, an outdoor swimming pool and a small weekly street market. The Rio Segura river which runs past the village has created an island, where the El Molino Natural Park with its picnic tables, seasonal barbecues, large stage area and an 18th-century water powered floor mill are situated.
