The nearby beautiful lake of La Pedrera offers wonderful walking opportunities, and there are two outdoor activity centres offering archery, quad-biking, kayaking, horse-riding etc. Should you wish to soak up a bit more history and culture, the medieval town of Orihuela is only a 20 minute drive away, where you can explore the narrow streets, shops and walk up to the monastery.

The nearby towns of San Miguel de Salinas, Los Montesinos, Torremendo, Jacarilla, Rojales, Benijófar and Torrevieja are also ideal places to visit, or if you venture further afield, Cartagena, Murcia and Alicante are great cities to explore.
